Magazines and Journals
The legendary writer and naturalist Henry David Thoreau once said: “In wildness is the preservation of the world.” If he had a mic, he definitely would have dropped it. Our next issue of Dumbo Feather is an ode to that timeless sentiment—and to the people who are out there preserving the wild that exists both within us and around us.
So! A little drum roll please for Issue 56—featuring legends you know, like Bob Brown and John Marsden, legends you might not expect, like the artist Patricia Piccinini, and legends you might not have heard of, like traditional fire teacher Victor Steffensen. There’s also writing from Claire Dunn, poetry by Mary Oliver, a profile on the large, passionate life of Steve Irwin, and much much more.
We’ve just pressed print on it, so if you want to have “Issue 56—Embracing the Wild” as part of your next subscription (and you’re going to want to have it as part of you next subscription), subscribe or renew before midday Friday July 20.
We can’t wait to share it with you soon.
